Made Taylor take a picture to show Mamaw Stapleton he is growing his hair out. He has it behind his ears so it's actually long enough here to cover his ears. He has had a hair cut since this picture so it's not as short as it use to be but it's not as long as this picture. He has a dark background behind him but never the less I posted this one for her to see.Saturday, April 12, 2008

Lee High Baseball
Here Taylor is taking a peek at Grayson who just hollered, "Taylor!"
Set and ready on 3rd.
Looking for his pitch.
Fast as lightening. HA! It is so hard to get him in action at dusk with my camera. If you use a flash it is too dark and if you turn off the flash this happens. Oh well, it's the best I can do with what I have.Sunday, March 30, 2008

Acquire The Fire ATF
Taylor headed to Winston/Salem North Caroline with the church Youth group friday morning. Our church Youth group have gone to ATF a few times but this is Taylor' s first time. I am curious to see how much he enjoyed his time in a different atmosphere. I have posted the ATF schedule at the bottom of this post. Looks like they have been pretty busy. Taylor actually called about 30 minutes ago and said they were just leaving to get something to eat. That was one long day drama, powerful worship, uplifting messages, and christian music. The group will be back in the early evening so please pray for a safe trip home.
Check out the acquire the fire website for more information on this great rally for youth.

Fun Expedition

Last Friday another worker and I took three brothers from Foster Care to Fun Expedition to let them visit with one another. Tamra was out of school so I took her with us. They all had a good time. The other worker and I? Well, they wore us out! HA! I think I would have been less tired if I had worked in the office all day! Shoo, I am getting old!Lee High Baseball 08'

The JV Team played JI Burton at home on the 17th. Tay played 3rd base and he pitched the last inning. I can't remember the score but I do know we beat them. The next night the Varsity team played Cumberland, KY and we lost by a couple of points, it was just a scrimmage. Taylor plays on the Varsity team as well as the JV team this year! I think that makes about a total of 44 games not to mention little extra 'scrimmages' we have here and there! I was exhausted before so I can just imagine how I will be when baseball is over!! UGH!By the way, I didn't take as many pictures of Taylor playing because I was trying to video tape! HA! I have a hard time doing both at the same time! I am only one person you know!
Tay has a Varsity game monday night at Coeburn but I probably won't make it! It is going to be really cold and Coeburn is too far for me to go on a work night! Tuesday he has a Varsity game at home to be played at two in the day! How stupid is that? Do these coaches not realize most parents are working at two in the day?

Catfish

Leon caught this catfish on his first fishing trip of the year. I have no idea what kind of catfish he said this was but I did hear catfish. I think he said it weighed 38lbs. Looks gross to me! I'm just curious where it is now because I never actually saw this thing with my eyes. I guess if it is somewhere close I will smell it! LOL!Saturday, March 15, 2008

My attempt!
My Wound

This is a little gross but I had to share. It's a funny story but happened to be very painful. I dropped a wooden crate on my ankle wednesday morning when I was out barefooted and in the rain trying to keep my poodles away from our dog Sammy. The poodles were in heat and he was about to pounce on one of them. I dropped this heavy crate on my foot and I thought I would die at that moment! HA! You know how overexaggerated one can be when something painful occurs! It really hurt so bad I could barely walk! Taylor walks around the corner to get on the bus and there he finds his mother humped over moaning! I am sure it was a site to see! I finally made my way inside and felt the need to crawl throughout the house, but I didn't! HA! My foot immediately swelled up and I continued on my day of work and all the other "mother" things I do during a day. I looked handicapped but I made it! To this day I still have bruising on the whole back of my foot and it hurts to wear a shoe with a back on it. HA! I am such a baby.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Here's Tamra posing with all of her Valentines. Two little boys gave her some things as well as her family. She really racked up this year.
I received 2 dozen roses plus four more for a total of 28 at work on Valentines. I'm not sure why 28 but that's what I got. The vase and arrangement was so huge I had to leave them at work. I finally brought some home and kept a few a work. It was really too much. I like flowers but can't help but feel it is a huge waste of money.Sunday, February 10, 2008

TAYLOR AND PAPAW KENNY HEADED TO ALABAMA AGAIN FOR 'YOUTH DAY'. THIS YEAR WILL BE TAYLOR'S LAST YEAR TO GO AS A YOUTH. HE WILL BE TOO OLD NEXT TIME AROUND.
THEY LEFT ON FRIDAY MORNING AND ARE DUE BACK SOMETIME LATE SUNDAY EVENING. WHEN I LAST TALKED TO TAYLOR HE HAD KILLED QUITE A FEW BIRDS. HE'S LOOKING TO KILL ONE IMPARTICULAR BIRD BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT IS! HA! SORRY, DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT BIRD HUNTING.
IT IS CURRENTLY VERY WINDY AND FREEZING OUTSIDE! I PRAY FOR A SAFE DRIVE HOME!

Superbowl Sunday
This day isn't very exciting for me but I know others have a ball on Superbowl sunday. I dropped Taylor off at his Youth minister's home for a Superbowl party. We were invited to my aunt and uncles for a party but Tamra and I chose to stay home and relax. I'm not much for partying when I can sit around and relax! HA!

My Christmas Present
Here is a picture of my late Christmas present from Leon. Walmart was a little late getting this item to us but it was well worth the wait. It is a glass square with my Dad's picture in the middle and it's 3D!! It sits on a a glass circle with a light inside it which shines through the square. It really makes the picture come to life. I really love it! Leon did very well this year.Friday, January 25, 2008

COLD!!!
It is so cold outside I can barely stand it! My heatpump seems to stay on all the time. I actually had to put a heater underneath the thermostat because it was staying on forever! Who ever said heat pumps were worth the money?!! I am fed up with this crazy thing!Lastnight the temps were in the single digits and I'm sure it is that way as well tonight. Luckily the kids are on a two hour delay tomorrow and won't freeze quite to death in the morning. I don't work tomorrow and would be willing to take both to school. I am sure Taylor will opt to take the bus! He loves riding the bus! I always hated riding the bus! Kids these days! HA!
Anyway, I am freezing and dreading the thought of getting into the cold sheets! Looks like Debbie and I are not cold natured kind of girls! I feel your pain Debbie! Let's pack up and head south! This cold weather is truly for the birds! HA!

Back to work
Today I headed back to a dreaded day of work. The kids are still at home till monday so I had to leave them and I must say I was not happy about it. I will admit I was quite lazy during my days off I found it quite difficult to get motivated. The phones rang at their normal rate so I felt this cartoon summed it up for me! HA!Snow fell lastnight it was quite enjoyable to see a little bit of white on the ground. I really could have done without the freezing cold temperatures however! It was 14degrees when I left for work. I have been told it is going to be in single digits tonight!
Two more days and I will be off for the weekend! I have found I look forward to the weekends! HA!
TRIP HOME
TAYLOR AND PAPAW KENNY MADE IT HOME SAFELY ON TUESDAY EVENING FROM ALABAMA. PRAISE GOD FOR THEIR SAFE TRIP HOME.
