This is the quote of the week for me~! People just need to steer clear of me right now! I am a time bomb waiting to explode! This whole moving 'thing' has put me over the edge! I need a few days alone in order to clear my mind and get things in order around here! Didn't people get the memo that when a person is moving life needs to stop???!!! HA! Wish it was the easy!

Moving Day!

Well, yesterday was our official moving day! We got the go ahead to move in and I took full advantage of it. We began moving in as much stuff as possible in order for us to be able to stay at our new home. I moved in three truck loads by myself! Once Taylor and my stepson, Jared got up I had them moving as much of the big stuff as they good could their hands on. The only big things left are my washer and dryer. I have no idea how we are going to get those two things into our house! There is still a huge step at the back and unless we make a ramp I don't see how it will work? I will leave that to Leon. He is currently on his four day work week so he won't be able to do to much until tuesday. We are hoping a crew will come and pick up our old home this week so we can get that ugly mess out of our front yard! It is also sitting at the end of my driveway so we are making a muddy mess when we drive to our house! There seems to be mud everywhere right now. It is good that the weather has warmed up but it has cause everything to thaw out and become very 'mushy'. It is not a good thing let me tell ya! HA! I won't complain though at least for now. Today the temp got up to 65degrees and yet I have heard we may get snow tomorrow night! HA! You just never know from day to day what the weather will bring! Well, anyway just wanted everyone to know we are now living at our new home mess and all! I am so overwhelmed I don't know where to start! I know things will all come together so I will try not to get stressed! Wish me luck!!

23 days and counting

Seems like the days just keep adding up since they delivered our home. I try to be positive about this whole situation but days like this just make it hard. No one showed up to do any work today which puts us one more day away from moving in. Mobile home company informed me today that they heard I had been painting a few walls and that was not acceptable. I'm sorry? I own this house! I pay the house payments and I can't paint my own walls? I was pretty upset! I am sick of dealing with them! I am ready to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Maybe then we will get some work out of these people.
Tomorrow I am moving our dogs into the house. There have been too many problems with the dogs here at Mamaws. I think moving them down to the house will help keep 'peace' between me and mamaw. Leon is ready to move in our mattress and sleep down there but I told him the painter will be there so he wouldn't be able to sleep. There is so much chaos all around us we don't know which way to turn. I am just ready to settle into our new home and regain some peace. Well.................

Grayson

Grayson, Amber, and Brian came by to see our new house today. Grayson was running all over the empty house! He was in heaven! Here he is hiding in our cabinet in the living room. He had a good time playing peek a boo. Notice how his feet are crossed! He always sits like that! It is so cute!
Drywall man finished today! We hope that means just a few more days till we can move in!!! Leon fixed water problem as well!

First Four Wheeler Ride

Grayson had a little ride with Taylor today during his visit. He really liked it until Taylor tried to get him to rev up the motor. HA! Didn't care much for that!

Well, it looks like we might be getting some snow! It is coming down pretty hard right now. I am hoping we get quite a bit. I think it looks so pretty. Don't want 12 feet or so but a few inches would be nice! I can't believe Chicago got so much snow this year! It is hard for me to fathom! 12 FEET! Wow! Our prayers surely need to go out to that group of people!

Things have not changed yet for our new home. The drywall man said he will be back monday to finish his part. After that I guess the person that comes to paint and finish up the rest of the inside will be here tuesday, I hope. We had another disappointment today. Looks like the cold weather has frozen our water pipes and we had one section to burst! Isn't that just great?! Looks like we couldn't move in even if they had finished this weekend. The temp got down to nine degrees the other night and even though we had heat tape on the pipes they still burst. Can't be helped when the pipes are not protected from the cold. Oh well, just another job for Leon to add to the already stressful event.

Master Bedroom

Here is part of our master bedroom. We have already put in part of our bed. The drywall men are still working on the inside but I wanted to add some different pictures. The house is really a mess right now but hopefully after tomorrow we can start cleaning. If the drywall men finish tomorrow then we can start bringing in the big stuff. After that the guy who finishes everything else can work around us. The heat pump guys will be here tuesday. Hopefully we can go ahead and move in before that day. I know we are all ready to start our new life in this new home.

Taylor in the Tennessee River.

Here are some pictures that Taylor brought back from his trip to Alabama. This is Taylor standing in the middle of the Tennesse River holding one of the ducks that he killed in Scotsboro, Alabama. They had a really good time on their trip. I guess Taylor is looking forward to the next trip his papaw has planned!

This is Molly, Papaw Kenny's bird dog. Here she is posing after retrieving Taylors first kill of the morning.

Alabama Bound!

Taylor and his Papaw Kenny headed out early this morning to Scottsboro, Alabama. This is Taylors first hunting trip away from home. I really hope he has a good time. He called earlier to let me know they had made it and were headed out to the lake to do some scouting. After returning from the lake he called again to let me know they were okay and that they were going out to eat. Tomorrow they are getting up bright and early to start their hunting expedition.

More work was done on our house today. Not only did they work on the outside but work was being done on the inside as well. It was really great knowing two things were being done at once. We are hoping this will increase the time when we can move in.

Raise the roof!

Today the men came and raised the roof on the house. Now it looks much better! Of course I couldn't get a good picture because of my deck off from the pool that sits right in my front yard and that ugly trailer still sitting in my yard! You can see it pretty good though. Hopefully they will be completely done with this part tomorrow and then the men can work on the inside. Temperatures are in the twenties today so we are lucky to see any progress today! I have been packing up our things and yesterday we actually moved in some boxes. Hopefully it won't be too much longer!

I just wanted to show how high this one end is at the side of our driveway. If you look closely you can see that it is almost as high as this big truck sitting in the driveway. I can stand completely under the edge!

Here's Leon digging a ditch for our underground electric lines. He discovered the ground was way to hard so he wasn't able to dig to far. Hopefully it will warm up soon and he can finish.

No news

Well, no news is usually good news but not in this case. Because of the weather we have not had any work done on the house for the past two days. The only thing left for the outside and the group of men that have been here is putting the roof up. (raise the roof!) As long as they cannot finish the roof the other group of men cannot come and finish the inside! UGH! It is very frustrating. We can only go into the house and look around and freeze to death! I am ready to go and buy some paint to paint my kitchen but what's the point at this time? The paint would probably freeze anyway! HA! The kids have been out of school the last two days and I think we are all ready to get away for awhile! Maybe we will go out to eat this evening? I don't know but we need to do something! Sitting around mamaw's house all day not being able to do anything is rather depressing! I am ready to do something!

Family Room (theater room)

I was able to sneak into my home yesterday and take some quick pictures! HA! THis is our family room which they call a theater room. Don't know why but whatever! This room is connected to the kitchen so you can see the bar top at the right corner where I was standing. If you look to the left you can see the hallway where the kids rooms are and their bathroom. To the far left across from this room is a room called the sitting room. I will probably use this as my computer room. It's just one large open space area.

Living room

Here is the entrance of our living room which we are going to use as a game room. Right off from this room to the left is the entrance to my room and Leon's, of course. To the right is the dining room. If you look up you can see the chandelier which hasn't been fixed yet.

Kids Bathroom

This is part of the kids bathroom. In this area they have two sinks and a closet. There is another door that goes into where the shower and commode sit. They are separated by a wall and a door. This way one child can be brushing their teeth while the other is on the commode! HA!

Kitchen

The blue plastic and all the drawers haven't been fixed but here is my new kitchen. YOu get the idea!
