Praying mantis

We found this little praying mantis on my aunt and uncles porch. Taylor took these photos. This little thing was brown all over with green legs. It was an ugly little thing but it allowed us to take its picture.

Here's some pictures of our first days at the beach. We've had a pretty good time and great weather. It's supposed to rain tomorrow but we're hoping it waits till we leave.

Our trip to Va Beach

This is the tunnel that goes under the ocean into Va Beach.
Taylor and Torrey getting attacked by a wave. The waves were really coming in fast this day. The current was really strong. I noticed the lifeguards were not allowing people to get very far out at all. The boys actually had one lifeguard whistle at them for going out too far.

4H Camp 08'

TAYLOR LEFT FOR 4H CAMP BRIGHT AND EARLY THIS MORNING. THIS YEAR TAYLOR IS A TEEN LEADER INSTEAD OF A CAMPER. HE IS IN CHARGE OF THE CAMPERS SO THIS IS A FIRST FOR HIM. HE WENT TO TRAINING AT VIRGINIA TECH DURING 4H CONGRESS. I AM VERY PROUD OF HIS ACCOMPLISHMENT. LOT'S OF PARENTS WERE GLAD TO HEAR TAYLOR WAS GOING SO HE COULD KEEP AN EXTRA EYE OUT FOR THEM. LOL!
THEY WILL RETURN SOMETIME FRIDAY EVENING...............

WetLands WaterPark

I am running a little behind on posting pictures. This was a few weeks ago. Tamra went to Camp Creativity for a week and on the last day they went to this park for their field trip.
Amber was there working while Brian brought Grayson, Taylor, and Jared. I took two brothers with me from foster care so our family got to spend time together. Grayson loved it but he wasn't able to stay long. Brian isn't into "water" too much so they left a little early. It was still a good day.

Mom's Surgery

MOM HAD FOOT SURGERY TODAY. EVERYTHING WENT WELL AND SHE IS HOME KEEPING HER FOOT ELEVATED. THE DOCTOR WANTS HER TO WALK ON IT ASAP. IT WAS STILL NUMB THIS AFTERNOON BUT I BET SHE IS FEELING THE PAIN NOW. SHE SHOULD BE UP AND RUNNING AROUND IN NO TIME.
JULY 7TH SHE HAS SURGERY ON HER EYE. I'M NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS HAVING DONE TO HER EYE OR EYES BUT I WILL FIND OUT FOR SURE AND POST IT. I KNOW SHE TOLD ME BUT MY MIND HAS SO MUCH GOING ON I CAN'T REMEMBER. HA!

Taylor Is Back!

Taylor got back this evening at around six thirty. Everyone was worn out but they all said they had a great time. This picture is of Taylor at family reunion from Saturday but I thought I'd post it anyway. He looks a bit scary don't you think? This is the teenager coming out of him! HA!
Anyway, he said he had a great time and is ready to go again next year. He didn't bring back to many pictures but hopefully his friends have some I can steal. He had lots of stories to tell but was ready to lay down and sleep.
We have a big day ahead of us at Wetlands WaterPark in Jonesborogh, Tn so we are all headed to bed to get some rest. Will post pictures when we get back.

4H Congress

Taylor headed off this morning for 4H Congress held at Virginia Tech. He will return sometime Thursday evening. I hope he has a good time and a great experience on campus at Virginia Tech.
