Happy 10th Birthday Tamra

Mom's Surgery

MOM HAD FOOT SURGERY TODAY. EVERYTHING WENT WELL AND SHE IS HOME KEEPING HER FOOT ELEVATED. THE DOCTOR WANTS HER TO WALK ON IT ASAP. IT WAS STILL NUMB THIS AFTERNOON BUT I BET SHE IS FEELING THE PAIN NOW. SHE SHOULD BE UP AND RUNNING AROUND IN NO TIME.
JULY 7TH SHE HAS SURGERY ON HER EYE. I'M NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS HAVING DONE TO HER EYE OR EYES BUT I WILL FIND OUT FOR SURE AND POST IT. I KNOW SHE TOLD ME BUT MY MIND HAS SO MUCH GOING ON I CAN'T REMEMBER. HA!

Taylor Is Back!

Taylor got back this evening at around six thirty. Everyone was worn out but they all said they had a great time. This picture is of Taylor at family reunion from Saturday but I thought I'd post it anyway. He looks a bit scary don't you think? This is the teenager coming out of him! HA!
Anyway, he said he had a great time and is ready to go again next year. He didn't bring back to many pictures but hopefully his friends have some I can steal. He had lots of stories to tell but was ready to lay down and sleep.
We have a big day ahead of us at Wetlands WaterPark in Jonesborogh, Tn so we are all headed to bed to get some rest. Will post pictures when we get back.

4H Congress

Taylor headed off this morning for 4H Congress held at Virginia Tech. He will return sometime Thursday evening. I hope he has a good time and a great experience on campus at Virginia Tech.

Father's Day 2008

We had a little get together for the Father's Day celebration on Saturday. It was a good day to get together not to hot and no rain.

Grayson comes over to swim

Grayson finally made his way to our pool for the first time this summer. They went to Myrtle Beach last week and discovered he loved the water. Last year he didn't care much for the pool he only wanted to get in and get straight out. This year he loved just being able to swim. He also found out he liked goggles and flippers so Amber said she was going to buy him some of his own.

Happy Birthday Mamaw!!

Just wanted to wish Mamaw a Happy 84th Birthday! WE LOVE YOU! (this is me yelling!) HA! I hope she had a good day.

My men were living it up today. Don't they make a cute couple? HA!

I'm trying out a new camera. These are just a couple of pictures of took with it. It really makes everything look as if you could reach out and touch them. I think I might keep the camera. I have ten more days to decide.

1st day in the pool

Tamra doing the first jump of the summer. Her friend Jessica waits to see if the water is warm enough. It was in the 90's friday so the only way to get some relief was to jump into the pool. I took half a day off to sit by the poolside. It was a good day.

Track

Jared after winning the 300 hurdles. This was his last track meet and he did really well. He won the 300 hurdles, 400 meter dash, and I think the long jump, plus he placed in the high jump and the disc but I can't remember what he placed exactly.

Here is my cousin Laken with my uncle Kendall and her mom, Shelley. Lake won the mile and the 800 meter dash. She is just like her daddy back in the day,with a lot of stamina. Congrats to Laken and Jared! By the way, Laken is twelve and in the 7th grade and Jared is 13 and in the 8th grade.

Mother's Day

We spent the day after church at Amber and Brian's cooking out and mingling with our family. We tried taking pictures during really harsh winds. There were times we would have to wait for the wind to die down before we could take a picture! It was really bad! Notice Tamra's skirt flying up in the last picture?! HA! It turned out to be a good day to get together even with all the wind. We were blessed to have everyone there and even more so that we had Papaw Martin standing right there with us. Just a week ago we were visiting him in the hospital.
I'm thankful for the people in my life.

Update

Papaw is doing well. He was released from the hospital monday afternoon. Thank you for your prayers.

Papaw Martin

My Papaw was admitted into ICU @ Lee Regional Friday afternoon due to his heart. They have his heart rate down and his O2 up so he is doing much better. He has to stay in ICU until Monday because his doctor doesn't do weekends. HA! Isn't that the truth. Anyway, he should be released on Monday but I will keep everyone updated. Please pray for my Papaw he is such a sweet man. I realize we can't keep our family members alive forever but wouldn't it be nice? Thank you for any and all prayers.

Clean bill of Health

Doctors have had me doing different tests to find out what is causing my dizzy spells, blurred vision, nausea, and the feeling of just being drained. My MRI, EEG, and Carotid ultrasound all came back normal. I also had a mamogram but that had nothing to do with my head. HA! But it came back normal as well.
When I went to the eye doctor he suggested that I had ocular migraines. He gave me a little pamplet on ocular migraines and I have researched it a little as well. My symptoms are very similar to the ocular migraine and just regular migraines. I never thought it could be mirgraines because I don't have sensitivity to light and my head doesn't hurt all that badly. It just looks like I have a different type of migraine. At least that is the diagnosis I will go with for now. SO, there is nothing they can do for me. I just have to live with it. It's really a terrible way to live. Makes me feel like I have a cloud over my head most of the time.
After researching this a little bit I found that basilar migraines are also similar to my symptoms so who knows what I really have? All I know is it drives me nuts! It makes me feel really bad and who wants to feel bad all the time? (not me)

Made Taylor take a picture to show Mamaw Stapleton he is growing his hair out. He has it behind his ears so it's actually long enough here to cover his ears. He has had a hair cut since this picture so it's not as short as it use to be but it's not as long as this picture. He has a dark background behind him but never the less I posted this one for her to see.

Fast as lightening. HA! It is so hard to get him in action at dusk with my camera. If you use a flash it is too dark and if you turn off the flash this happens. Oh well, it's the best I can do with what I have.
