Lake Ontario

Here are some great pictures a family member sent me today of Lake Ontario. I thought they were so beautiful I had to share! I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I did.

My attempt!

Here is my attempt to take a picture of the eclipse. When my camera doesn't have the flash on it is almost impossible to get a good picture. In the end I grabbed Taylor's video camera and took a video. Maybe later I can post it on my blog when I figure out how to do it.

My Wound

This is a little gross but I had to share. It's a funny story but happened to be very painful. I dropped a wooden crate on my ankle wednesday morning when I was out barefooted and in the rain trying to keep my poodles away from our dog Sammy. The poodles were in heat and he was about to pounce on one of them. I dropped this heavy crate on my foot and I thought I would die at that moment! HA! You know how overexaggerated one can be when something painful occurs! It really hurt so bad I could barely walk! Taylor walks around the corner to get on the bus and there he finds his mother humped over moaning! I am sure it was a site to see! I finally made my way inside and felt the need to crawl throughout the house, but I didn't! HA! My foot immediately swelled up and I continued on my day of work and all the other "mother" things I do during a day. I looked handicapped but I made it! To this day I still have bruising on the whole back of my foot and it hurts to wear a shoe with a back on it. HA! I am such a baby.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Here's Tamra posing with all of her Valentines. Two little boys gave her some things as well as her family. She really racked up this year.
I received 2 dozen roses plus four more for a total of 28 at work on Valentines. I'm not sure why 28 but that's what I got. The vase and arrangement was so huge I had to leave them at work. I finally brought some home and kept a few a work. It was really too much. I like flowers but can't help but feel it is a huge waste of money.

Superbowl Sunday

This day isn't very exciting for me but I know others have a ball on Superbowl sunday. I dropped Taylor off at his Youth minister's home for a Superbowl party. We were invited to my aunt and uncles for a party but Tamra and I chose to stay home and relax. I'm not much for partying when I can sit around and relax! HA!

My Christmas Present

Here is a picture of my late Christmas present from Leon. Walmart was a little late getting this item to us but it was well worth the wait. It is a glass square with my Dad's picture in the middle and it's 3D!! It sits on a a glass circle with a light inside it which shines through the square. It really makes the picture come to life. I really love it! Leon did very well this year.

COLD!!!

It is so cold outside I can barely stand it! My heatpump seems to stay on all the time. I actually had to put a heater underneath the thermostat because it was staying on forever! Who ever said heat pumps were worth the money?!! I am fed up with this crazy thing!
Lastnight the temps were in the single digits and I'm sure it is that way as well tonight. Luckily the kids are on a two hour delay tomorrow and won't freeze quite to death in the morning. I don't work tomorrow and would be willing to take both to school. I am sure Taylor will opt to take the bus! He loves riding the bus! I always hated riding the bus! Kids these days! HA!
Anyway, I am freezing and dreading the thought of getting into the cold sheets! Looks like Debbie and I are not cold natured kind of girls! I feel your pain Debbie! Let's pack up and head south! This cold weather is truly for the birds! HA!

Thursday Snow

Our first use of the fireplace!

We had some snow the other day. It was more slush than anything but it was enough for the kids to get out of school.

Back to work

Today I headed back to a dreaded day of work. The kids are still at home till monday so I had to leave them and I must say I was not happy about it. I will admit I was quite lazy during my days off I found it quite difficult to get motivated. The phones rang at their normal rate so I felt this cartoon summed it up for me! HA!
Snow fell lastnight it was quite enjoyable to see a little bit of white on the ground. I really could have done without the freezing cold temperatures however! It was 14degrees when I left for work. I have been told it is going to be in single digits tonight!
Two more days and I will be off for the weekend! I have found I look forward to the weekends! HA!

TRIP HOME

TAYLOR AND PAPAW KENNY MADE IT HOME SAFELY ON TUESDAY EVENING FROM ALABAMA. PRAISE GOD FOR THEIR SAFE TRIP HOME.

Christmas at the Martins

This picture was taken before we left for the Martins. Taylor and Tamra always get to open one gift on Christmas Eve while Jared opens all of his gifts from us. He usually spends Christmas with his mother on Christmas day. (small, medium, and large) HA! Taylor is now 6ft 2 and 1/4 inches.......Jared has grown quite at bit as well. I'm not sure exactly how tall he is though.
Amber got Jared a carhardt hat full of money. When he opened it the money all fell out onto the floor.
Everyone standing around watching the kids open presents. Amber, Kenny, Leon, Mamaw Martin, Papaw Martin, and Taylor.........Tamra is opening and I got the back of Laken's head. HA@!
Jonathon and Taylor.......Jonathon opened this gift, men's cologne set, and sprayed it onto Taylor. As he did this Jonathon inhaled and they both just about died from laughing and choking to death! It was quite comical to watch.
