Lee High JV against Gate City JV

Tay about to steal first base.
Tay after the game with his most prized possesion, sunflower seeds! HA! I got him in mid action!

Late Night

The kids didn't have to go to school on Tuesday so after Jared and Taylor both finished up their baseball games they decided to play a little pool for the rest of the night! This is Tay's pool table from his dad's house. Now the 'game room' is official.

Well, life has really been crazy around here! Seems like there is so much to do and yet no time to do it. The weather has been really warm outside so I took off a few days of substituting and worked in the yard. I feel like I really accomplished quite a bit. May not look like it to some people but I can tell! HA!
Tay has been really busy with baseball and I have been really busy picking him up everyday! HA! This is his first year of playing at Lee High! It is really different from Junior League or Little League! They practice rain or shine every single day but sundays! Games have started and they have lost both of them. I'm not sure why because the boys look really good! Hopefully they will straighten out their 'kinks' pretty soon. Their next game is monday at Home. Taylor plays second base and loves it!
Yesterday it came a major thunderstorm with very heavy rains! It caused me to find a huge leak in our new fireplace! I was quite frantic but there wasn't much I could do! I called the maker of this home and since they were sending someone to work on the house anyway she said she would just add the leak to the list! I'm just glad the rain didn't last too long! There would have been a really big mess!
I recently had an interview for a Foster Care Worker at Social Services. I didn't get the job but it was an experience in itself! I was truly a nervous wreck! Afterwards I received some positive feedback from the Supervisor who took part in the interview. Even though I didn't get the job she wanted me to know how impressed the board was with my interview. They wanted to make sure I reapplied for the next position that came open at social services! I was quite shocked! Made me feel a lot better however! She also said she was going to see about getting me into the volunteer program in order to get me some needed experience! I am thankful for her willingness to help me! God works in such mysterious ways! Eveyone just keep your fingers crossed!
Spring break is coming up soon! The kids are excited about having ten days off! We will be heading to Pigeon Forge for three days to take part in Taylors baseball games. I hope to find a dining room set for our new home! We have yet to furnish the dining room! I am looking for that special something that is on SALE! HA! Seems to be a hard item to find!
Report cards came out on monday! I am happy to say Taylor brought up all of his grades and did really well. Tamra made the AB honor roll but I never expected she wouldn't. School ends on May the 24th so the kids don't have to much longer to go! I dread the thought of it ending! That just makes Taylor's graduation day closer than ever! Makes me quite sad!

Grayson

Here is Grayson with his Thomas the Tank Engine hat! His most favorite thing to watch is Thomas! Everytime I watch him we watch Thomas over and over again. He hasn't mastered his T's just yet so he calls it, "Momas" and then he will sound out the T by saying "T-T-T" It is so cute! His mommy and daddy try to get him to say the T with Thomas so this is how he has figured out how to say "Thomas"!

Soon to be new building. Leon is in the process of putting together a new building for all of his tools and whatever else we can stick in there. We are using the left overs from Tamra's bedroom so that we can save a lot of money! I can't wait for it to be finished! Two walls are already finished it just needs to be set up. As soon as he finishes the tools are coming out of the house and the garage! We need more room for my yard sale stuff! ha! I'm just glad to see Leon motivated! Go Leon!

Sammy

Sammy gets a new haircut. Check out his St. Patricks Day bandana around his neck! Is he in style or what? He seems to have a new kick in his step now that he isn't weighed down with all that hair! Just thought I would post a little picture or our outside buddy. He has lost his covered porch but he still enjoys sitting on our new porch covered or uncovered he doesn't really care. He stays under the house right now since we don't have any underpinning at the moment. Guess that might be awhile! Takes quite a bit of money to do any extras to a new house! How do people do it? Beats me!! Wish I knew their secret!

Leon built us a small porch on the back of the house the other day. We desperately needed something to keep us all from breaking a leg. I opted for a smaller porch this time around since I don't have much of a back yard. This way it gives us a little more room than we use to have. I tried to help him when I could get my head off of the pillow! So, to tell the truth I wasn't of much help. I am much better now from my sickness but still don't feel like my old self! I did break down and go to the doctor. He said I had bronchitis. I think I was just of the verge of dying! HA! It was horrible! Hopefully by tomorrow I will be back to my old self.

Well, not much has changed around here. I am still stressed out only now I am deathly ill. I feel like I have the flu. It is very unlike me to be so sick so often. I think working as a substitute teacher around all those kids is keeping me sick. My immune system just isn't use to all the germs I am faced with everyday! UGH! I just want to lay down somewhere and sleep for about a week!

Tomorrow they are coming to move the ugly sight in our front yard! I can't wait! The trailor sits in our driveway which causes us to go into our neighbors yard in order to get to our house. It is very annoying! Such a muddy mess! I just can't wait to get my driveway back so we can fix it. The mobile home company made such a mess of it we will have to bring in some gravel in order to get it in good working condition. I think they should have to pay for the mess they made!

Our water lines froze again lastnight. So, tonight I will be leaving the water on all night to keep that from happening again. Didn't feel so great going to work this morning without a shower! YUCK!

I am taking a break from work tomorrow. I don't care who calls! I am staying home to recoup from my sickness and hopefully get some of this house in order! We are still living around bags and boxes! I can barely stand it!

This is the quote of the week for me~! People just need to steer clear of me right now! I am a time bomb waiting to explode! This whole moving 'thing' has put me over the edge! I need a few days alone in order to clear my mind and get things in order around here! Didn't people get the memo that when a person is moving life needs to stop???!!! HA! Wish it was the easy!

Moving Day!

Well, yesterday was our official moving day! We got the go ahead to move in and I took full advantage of it. We began moving in as much stuff as possible in order for us to be able to stay at our new home. I moved in three truck loads by myself! Once Taylor and my stepson, Jared got up I had them moving as much of the big stuff as they good could their hands on. The only big things left are my washer and dryer. I have no idea how we are going to get those two things into our house! There is still a huge step at the back and unless we make a ramp I don't see how it will work? I will leave that to Leon. He is currently on his four day work week so he won't be able to do to much until tuesday. We are hoping a crew will come and pick up our old home this week so we can get that ugly mess out of our front yard! It is also sitting at the end of my driveway so we are making a muddy mess when we drive to our house! There seems to be mud everywhere right now. It is good that the weather has warmed up but it has cause everything to thaw out and become very 'mushy'. It is not a good thing let me tell ya! HA! I won't complain though at least for now. Today the temp got up to 65degrees and yet I have heard we may get snow tomorrow night! HA! You just never know from day to day what the weather will bring! Well, anyway just wanted everyone to know we are now living at our new home mess and all! I am so overwhelmed I don't know where to start! I know things will all come together so I will try not to get stressed! Wish me luck!!

23 days and counting

Seems like the days just keep adding up since they delivered our home. I try to be positive about this whole situation but days like this just make it hard. No one showed up to do any work today which puts us one more day away from moving in. Mobile home company informed me today that they heard I had been painting a few walls and that was not acceptable. I'm sorry? I own this house! I pay the house payments and I can't paint my own walls? I was pretty upset! I am sick of dealing with them! I am ready to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Maybe then we will get some work out of these people.
Tomorrow I am moving our dogs into the house. There have been too many problems with the dogs here at Mamaws. I think moving them down to the house will help keep 'peace' between me and mamaw. Leon is ready to move in our mattress and sleep down there but I told him the painter will be there so he wouldn't be able to sleep. There is so much chaos all around us we don't know which way to turn. I am just ready to settle into our new home and regain some peace. Well.................

Grayson

Grayson, Amber, and Brian came by to see our new house today. Grayson was running all over the empty house! He was in heaven! Here he is hiding in our cabinet in the living room. He had a good time playing peek a boo. Notice how his feet are crossed! He always sits like that! It is so cute!
Drywall man finished today! We hope that means just a few more days till we can move in!!! Leon fixed water problem as well!

First Four Wheeler Ride

Grayson had a little ride with Taylor today during his visit. He really liked it until Taylor tried to get him to rev up the motor. HA! Didn't care much for that!

Well, it looks like we might be getting some snow! It is coming down pretty hard right now. I am hoping we get quite a bit. I think it looks so pretty. Don't want 12 feet or so but a few inches would be nice! I can't believe Chicago got so much snow this year! It is hard for me to fathom! 12 FEET! Wow! Our prayers surely need to go out to that group of people!

Things have not changed yet for our new home. The drywall man said he will be back monday to finish his part. After that I guess the person that comes to paint and finish up the rest of the inside will be here tuesday, I hope. We had another disappointment today. Looks like the cold weather has frozen our water pipes and we had one section to burst! Isn't that just great?! Looks like we couldn't move in even if they had finished this weekend. The temp got down to nine degrees the other night and even though we had heat tape on the pipes they still burst. Can't be helped when the pipes are not protected from the cold. Oh well, just another job for Leon to add to the already stressful event.

Master Bedroom

Here is part of our master bedroom. We have already put in part of our bed. The drywall men are still working on the inside but I wanted to add some different pictures. The house is really a mess right now but hopefully after tomorrow we can start cleaning. If the drywall men finish tomorrow then we can start bringing in the big stuff. After that the guy who finishes everything else can work around us. The heat pump guys will be here tuesday. Hopefully we can go ahead and move in before that day. I know we are all ready to start our new life in this new home.
