I just got a job!!

I received a phone call today from a supervisor at our local social services department. She explained to me there was a position that would be open in the next few weeks. She asked me if I would be willing to take the job??!! I was so excited I immediately said, "YES!" The position won't be available until the kids go back to school which makes things work out perfectly! I'm not use to things working out so I am a little bit in shock! My position? I will be a social worker in the foster care department! How amazing is that?! I am just so thankful that this position has landed in my lap! Maybe now I can stop stressing over this new house we bought! UGH! I will update as I find out more! I am so nervous!!! AAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Please pray for me!!

Grayson's first time at the beach

Amber made a quick trip with her family to Myrtle beach this week so I stole some pictures she sent to me! They had a good time and Grayson enjoyed his first encounter with the ocean. Looks like they will be making some needed visits to the beach from here on out. Wonder what is up with the matching mom and dad bracelettes? I will have to ask about that! HA! Looks a little funny on Brian!

Lightening

Can you see where the tree was hit in the middle? It ripped two parts of the tree onto both sides of Mamaw's yard. It was quite interesting.
I don't know if you can really tell it or not but on the left side of the trees you can see a small part of the tree that fell. Also if you look to the right of my dog you can see the other part that hit the ground. Both pieces look small on camera but they were quite large and quite heavy. I meant to take a picture of what lies on the ground now! I will do that in the daylight hours. There is quite a mess to clean up!

Monday

This day was a fullfilling day of sit and wait. Tamra and I took Mamaw Stapleton to the doctor and found ourselves freezing to death and quite bored! The hospital is fit only for people who are hot blooded and who love to sit all day long! It was quite and experience I must say! Mamaw became very aggravated after waiting for hours because she never could remember why we were even there to begin with. It was quite frustrating. The doctor was concerned with her breathing and needed to have some tests run in order to make sure she wasn't having any heart problems. It turns out that she showed a very small sign of congestive heart failure. The doctor decided to put her on a water pill to get rid of any excess fluid that could be around her heart. We were quite relieved that she could go home and lay down to relax. Hopefully we will begin to see some signs of her being able to breath more clearly very soon. The next doctor visit will be on the 30th to run some more tests. I will keep everyone posted.
OH yeah, while we were gone to the doctor there was a terrible storm at our house. When we returned home there had been a tree struck by lightening in Mamaw's yard. It looked just like the lightening had hit the tree and split it down the middle. I took some pictures and will post later. That day there was some wood on one side of her yard and some more word on the other side of her yard. It was really quite neat. The next day we had some hard winds and Tamra heard a loud crash. After investigating we found that part of the tree had fallen on the side where Mamaws swing sits. Today during another wind and rain storm Taylor heard a loud crash. After investigating once again we found more of the same tree lying on the other side of the yard. It was quite a big tree so it is going to take quite a lot of work to get it removed! Good grief! What is going on around here? I sure hope the trees near my house don't decide to fall!!

Soccer Game

Tamra had her first soccer game on the 12th. My internet has been messed up so I am just now posting it. She does really well at soccer but wasn't happy with her first loss. She has to learn that losing isn't the end of the world. She had another game monday and again on tuesday losing both games. Maybe it will teach her a lesson on how to lose. Her next game will be next thursday perhaps the team will work together to win? If not, life goes on. It is all fun and games and really they don't even keep score. It isn't about who wins or loses it is all about having fun and learning the new sport of soccer in Lee County. Anyway, it was an interesting time that is for sure! HA!

Surprise!

We surprised Mamaw Becky with a little cake and a present from us. Taylor's birthday is on the 13th and Becky's is on the 12th so I always like to do a little something for her. I think we surprised her!

Grayson tries to help taylor blow out his fifteen candles. Looks like Tamra and Hannah are helping as well. ha!
Taylor gets a big stash of money which gives him a big smile! HA!

Please notice the size difference in Taylor and his dad! HA! Taylor was going nuts! His dad had his shoes on and Taylor did not so it made TOny taller than Taylor during the pictures! HA! It was funny.
Taylor and Grayson acting silly after Taylor had opened his presents.

Fireworks from the park in Jonesville.

Here's Grayson, Papaw Kenny, Great Papaw Bellamy and the back of Sandy's head. We were enjoying LEon's firework show and just trying to stay clear.

Cookout at Pooh and Sandy Bellamy's

Grayson thinking about jumping back into the pool or perhaps he was relieving himself? HA! Not sure about that one! Isn't he cute??!!
My Aunt Sandy gives the kids a little ride on the Mule.......or is it Tamra giving her a ride? HA! Glad she was riding with her and not me!
Tamra doing a little jumping from the diving board. Jake in the background is waiting his turn very nicely. Good DOG!

Leon in major thought maybe it's from the Heavy Drinking he seems to be doing. HA! Just kidding. This shirt has a verse from the Bible under it and on the back it gives the verse. Very deceiving!

We normally go to the "Bellamy's" to cookout and watch fireworks but this year due to Granny's sprained ankle Sandy offered to have the cookout at her house. After we ate and swam a little we headed to the Bellamy's to watch the fireworks at the park in Jonesville.

Taylor

Taylor's last game of the season. He's giving me a peace sign maybe? Not sure! Just took the picture anyway! ha!

Opening Day

Here's Tamra waiting to be announced in the hot sun!
Tamra making her first kick into the goal.
Saturday was the kickoff day for the new soccer league in Lee County. It started off with a little parade around Leeman Field and ended with each child having their name announced and kicking the soccer ball into the goal. It was a very hot morning! I was more than ready to get into my air conditioned vehicle! Shoo!! This last picture is Tamra's team getting their team picture taken. They also received their shirts today for the first time. Next week they will begin to scrimmage one another, actually this Thursday. It should be an interesting event! HA!

Baseball

All Star Games

Oops! This picture came from a Gate City game! OH well, it was a close up so that's okay.

Here's some picture I have taken during the all star games. I haven't downloaded tonights but I have more! HA! Lee West had their first upset tonight against Clintwood. The boys began the game like they had never played before. I don't know if the nerves were getting to them or what but they mainly played against themselves. They will have to play Clintwood for the third time tomorrow night at Coeburn to see who wins for this Region and who goes to state! Shoo! This is making me a nervous wreck! Taylor got to pitch two innings but the coach wanted to save him for tomorrow so he took him out and put him back at second. He also played at short stop for two innings while Tony Ely pitched for awhile. We lost 18 to 12. We'll see how they do tomorrow........

Last Saturday

Grayson was very helpful! He knew Tamra couldn't open her presents by herself! HA!

Just a few pictures I took during Tamra's party saturday. I am just a little behind on posting pictures! HA!
